John Holmlund Nursery is a family owned and operated wholesale tree nursery located in the fertile valley between Portland, Oregon and the scenic Mt. Hood region. Originating in the late 1960’s, we have grown to over 600 acres and produce more than a million trees annually.

Our trees are specifically grown for major bare-root tree markets; caliper and specimen tree growers, container operations, re-wholesale, and garden centers. The 200 plus varieties in production are grown with today’s environment in mind. Many are selected for their low maintenance, hardiness, disease-insect resistance, stress tolerance, and based on current demand. A number of the latest cultivars are produced from seedlings, rooted cuttings, grafting/budding of selected root stocks, and tissue culture.
